Police Make Arrest in Kanawha Street Homicide

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has arrested Mario Domingo-Ucelo, 24, in connection with the murder of Abraham Felipe-Lopez which occurred Sunday evening in Langley Park, Maryland.


Domingo-Ucelo, of the 1400 block of Kanawha Street, Langley Park, Maryland, was arrested without incident on April 5, 2011. He is charged with first degree murder and was remanded to the Department of Corrections where he is being held on a no bond status.

On April 2, 2011 at approximately 11:19 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 1400 block of Kanawha Street for a report of a cutting. Upon their arrival, patrol officers found Felipe-Lopez, 32, of the 1400 block of Kanawha Street, suffering from trauma to his body. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Detectives developed Domingo-Ucelo as a suspect after discovering that both Domingo-Ucelo and Felipe-Lopez were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated with Domingo-Ucelo stabbing Felipe-Lopez.
