PGPD Officer and K-9 Partner Graduate from K-9 Police Academy

The Prince George's County Police Department congratulates Corporal Richard Smith and his K-9 partner Bella on their completion and graduation from the Maryland State Police K-9 Training Academy on December 17th.

Corporal Richard Smith, an 11-year veteran currently assigned to the Special Operations Division, and his K-9 partner Bella recently completed ten rigorous weeks of training at the Maryland State Police K-9 Training Academy in Sykesville, Maryland.

K-9 Bella is a 14-month old Bloodhound whose responsibilities will focus on the search and rescue efforts for critical missing person incidents throughout Prince George's County and neighboring jurisdictions who request assistance.
