PGPD Charges Five Suspects in Murder Investigation of Charles Walker


Prince George’s County Police Chief Mark Magaw will announce the arrest five suspects are now charged in connection with the murder of Charles Walker.  The teenager was shot and killed on February 18, 2013, in Hillcrest Heights.

Investigative developments, along with tips called into Crimes Solvers, led detectives to develop the five suspects.   All of the suspects are in custody.  Three are in Prince George's County.   The other two in the District of Columbia.  All five of the suspects are charged with first degree murder.  

They are identified as 20 year-old Derryck Antonio Green of the 900 block of North Henry Street in Alexandria, 18 year-old Jermani Maurice Whitner of the 2900 block of Saint Clair Drive in Temple Hills, 23 year-old Glenn Cornell Leach of the 1000 block of Southern Avenue in Southeast Washington,  21 year-old Tayvon Delonte Williams of the 6400 block of Livingston Road in Oxon Hill, and 21 year-old Kevin J. Smith of the 2900 block of Saint Clair Drive in Temple Hills.
