PGPD Investigates Murder in Forestville

Updated February 20, 2013: The second victim, 18 year-old Andre Walter Shuford, succumbed to his injuries and was pronouced dead this afternoon.  Shuford was from the 3500 block of Pumphery Drive in Forestville.

Updated February 20, 2013:  The victim is identified as 18 year-old Aaron Burrell Kidd of the 3600 block of Melrose Avenue in District Heights.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a double shooting which left one man dead and a second man in grave condition in Forestville.

On February 19, 2013, at 5:35 pm, patrol officers responded to the 3700 block of Donnell Drive for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, patrol officers found two adults shot in a parking lot.  An 18 year-old was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.  He was a 9th grade student at Suitland High School.  A second 18 year-old is in grave condition.

At this point, there is no indication that this crime is connected to the murder of Charles Walker, Jr.  

Prince George’s County Police homicide detectives are working to develop a motive and identify suspect(s) in this case.
