PGPD Recovers Carjacked Car in District Heights

The Prince George’s County Police Department recovered a car that had been carjacked in District Heights.

On January 29, 2014, at about 8:20 pm, patrol officers were called to the 2500 block of Ramblewood Drive for the report of a carjacking.

The preliminary investigation reveals the victim had just gotten out of her car when she was approached by three men.  They forced her back into her car at gunpoint.  The suspects took the victim to two ATMs and forced her to withdraw cash. The suspects then dropped off the victim in a nearby neighborhood and drove off in her car.  The victim was not hurt.

Thanks to an anonymous Crime Solvers tip, investigators today recovered the car in the 7500 block of Hil Mar Drive in District Heights.  Detectives are working to identify and locate the suspects.

If anyone has information on the identity of the suspects,  please call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s RID-Central/Robbery Suppression Team at 301-772-4425.  Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call CRIME SOLVERS at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477), text “PGPD plus your message” to CRIMES (274637) on your cell phone or go to www.pgcrimesolvers.com and submit a tip online.
