PGPD Investigates Fatal Collision in Landover

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision in Landover. The victim is 62-year-old Louise McFadden of Dellwood Avenue in Glenarden.
On June 7, 2014, at about 10:20 pm, patrol officers were called to the intersection of Landover Road and Kenmore Drive for a crash involving two SUVs.

The preliminary investigation suggests that a Ford Explorer was stopped at a traffic light on southbound Landover Road. McFadden, who was also traveling southbound on Landover Road, rear ended the Explorer. Both drivers were taken to the hospital.
McFadden died of his injuries on June 9, 2014. The second driver’s injuries are not considered life threatening.

Preliminarily, speed appears to be a factor in this collision.
