Teen Charged in Frederick Douglass High School Stabbing

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating an assault that occurred at a high school in Upper Marlboro this morning.

On June 2, 2015, at about 7:40 am, patrol officers were called to Frederick Douglass High School in the 8000 block of Croom Road for the report of a stabbing. Once on scene, officers discovered the victim, a 16-year-old male student, suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The 14-year-old suspect, also a Frederick Douglass student, also was transported for minor injuries. He’s facing charges as a juvenile.

Detectives believe the incident stemmed from a previous fight between the two students. That carried over today, when the suspect pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed the victim.
