PGPD Investigates Hit-and-Run Involving Pedestrian

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in New Carrollton. The pedestrian suffered critical injuries.

On July 15, 2015, at about 7:00 pm, patrol officers were called to the 8300 block of Annapolis Road. When they arrived, they discovered the victim in the roadway. She was rushed to a hospital for treatment. The car that hit her had fled the scene.

Preliminarily, it appears the striking car was heading eastbound on Annapolis Road when it struck the victim who was crossing the street. The victim was not in a crosswalk at the time. The driver did not stop. The suspect’s car is described a dark-colored Toyota, possibly a Camry with front end damage.
