PGPD Investigates Homicide in Capitol Heights

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in Capitol Heights. The victim is 45-year-old Gilbert Hall III of Lyman Place in Northeast Washington. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random shooting. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On January 30, 2016, at about 3:40 pm, patrol officers were called to the 300 block of Addison Road South for the sound of gunshots. Hall was found outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He died a short time later at a hospital.
Detectives are working to identify a motive and suspect(s) in this case.
