Detectives to Canvass Capitol Heights Neighborhood in Homicide Investigation


This evening, detectives with our Homicide Unit plan to canvass a Capitol Heights neighborhood where a man was fatally shot on Tuesday. The victim is 23-year-old Daryl Antjuan Walker of Walker Mill Road in Capitol Heights.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

At about 9:00 pm on May 31st, patrol officers were called to the 800 block of Kayak Avenue for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found the victim inside of a car suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify and arrest the suspect(s). The canvass is set to begin at 7:00 pm in the 800 block of Kayak Avenue.
