Detectives Arrest Suspect in Domestic-Related Homicide in Fort Washington

The Homicide Unit arrested a suspect in connection with a domestic-related homicide in Fort Washington. The suspect is 64-year-old Roland Proctor of the 9000 block of Mill Street. He’s charged with fatally stabbing his 82-year-old father, James Proctor, in their home.

On May 25th, at about 9:30 am, patrol officers responded to the 9000 block of Mill Street for a welfare check. They found the victim suffering from trauma to his body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect and victim had been in a dispute prior to the stabbing.

Roland Proctor is charged with first and second degree murder. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
