Detectives Release Photos in Two Ongoing ATV Investigations

In our continued effort to stop illegal ATV riding on county roadways, the Prince George’s County Police Department today began releasing photos of ATV riders seen in the National Harbor last Sunday. The large group of riders were recorded illegally operating in the Harbor, including on the sidewalks. As the video enhancement process continues, investigators plan to release more photos in the coming days.  Since then, investigators have worked to identify the riders. Riding ATVs and unlicensed dirt bikes on county roadways is illegal. If you recognize any of these riders,
call 1-866-411-TIPS.

In a separate unrelated case, detectives are also releasing photos of three suspects who carjacked a 17-year-old’s dirt bike at gunpoint on Wednesday night.  The victim had listed the dirt bike for sale on social media. He began communicating with one of the suspects and had agreed to meet the interested buyer to complete the sales transaction. Our investigation reveals when the suspect arrived at the victim’s home in Fort Washington, he displayed a gun and demanded the dirt bike. In fear for his life, the teenage victim complied. That’s when the three suspects tried to load the bike in an SUV, but it wouldn’t fit. One of the suspects ultimately fled the area on the carjacked dirt bike.

Anyone with information on the carjacking suspects’ identity, please call 301-749-5064.
