PGPD Investigates Vandalism at Cemetery in Upper Marlboro


Detectives are actively working to find and arrest the person or persons who vandalized a cemetery in Upper Marlboro. It’s believed the vandal(s) targeted the cemetery belonging to the St. Thomas Episcopal Church sometime on Friday night.



Prince George’s County Police patrol officers were called to the cemetery in the 14000 block of St. Thomas Church Road on Saturday evening. The vandal(s) knocked over 24 headstones with some of them dating back to the 1800s. The St. Thomas Church is a Prince George’s County Historic Site and is also on The National Register of Historic Places.
