PGPD Investigating Fatal Collision in Laurel

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision in Laurel on Friday evening. The victim is 39-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Hensley of Oxwell Lane in Laurel.


On November 10th, at about 5:45 pm, patrol officers were called to the 9300 block of Montpelier Drive for the report of a collision involving two SUVs. Hensley was found suffering from critical injuries. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later. The driver of the second SUV was not injured. 

The preliminary investigation reveals the victim was driving westbound on Montpelier Drive. For reasons which remain under investigation, her SUV crossed the centerline of the roadway and struck the second SUV. Hensley’s vehicle ultimately struck a tree.
