Detectives Arrest Suspect in Forestville Homicide

Homicide Unit detectives arrested a suspect in connection with the homicide in Forestville on Saturday. The suspect is 26-year-old Jajuan Johnson of the 2000 block of Marbury Drive in District Heights. He’s charged with the fatal shooting of 33-year-old Thomas Corry of Arnold Road in Suitland.

On December 30th, 2017, at about 3:35 pm, patrol officers were called to the 3300 block of Walters Lane for a shooting. When officers arrived, they discovered the victim inside of a liquor store suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he died a short time later.

The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect initiated a dispute with the victim inside of the store. The suspect then pulled out a gun and shot the victim. The suspect then fled. Patrol officers located the suspect a short time later and took him into custody.

Johnson is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He’s being held at the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
